OUR BELIEVES:
Preamble
We, the members of the Resurrection Power Evangelistic Ministries and the Living Bread Christian Centre throughout the world, our aim is to effectively execute our part of the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ to take the Gospel to all parts of the earth to win souls for the Kingdom of God.
Our Faith:
We believe in the divine infallibility of the Holy Scripture as the word of God, its supreme and final authority.
The one true God:
We believe in one true God in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, that is the "TRINITY" of the God Head, the Almighty and the most HOLY TRINITY, in the sovereignty of God, the father in the essential absolute and eternal deity. (Gen. 1:1-3; Isa. 6:3'; Matt. 3:16-17; John 5:7)
Man's depraved nature:
We believe that man is born with a fallen nature and is therefore inclined to evil continually and subject to eternal punishment and needs repentance and regeneration. (Gen. 3:1-17; Isa. 53:6; Acts 2:38, 1:13)
Salvation:
We believe man's need of salvation is in the person of Jesus Christ, because of his deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, substitutional death, bodily resurrection, and his second coming (Rom. 2:25; Acts 2:35; John 1:1-8; John8:46; 2 Cor. 5:19)
Repentance, Justification and Sanctification:
We believe in the atonement of the Blood of Christ, and in the power of his blood to justify, save, and to cleanse sinners from sin.(whosoever will be convicted of sins and will repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and accept him as his deliverer and divine master will be justified, regenerated and will have the holy spirit) (Gal. 5:15-17;22 Jn. 10:28; Phil. 2:9-11; Heb. 9:24; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Luke 21:17; Rev. 22:20; Rom. 6:23, 8:11; Rom. 3:4, 6:6)
Speaking in tongues:
We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the act of speaking in tongues, the initial evidence. (Acts 19:1-7; Rom.8:26-27; 1 Cor. 14:2, 18,21,22,23,39. Acts 8: 14-17; Acts 2:4-39; Acts 10:44-48)
The sacrament of the Baptism and the Lords supper
We believe in the sacrament of the baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit or in Jesus name. It must be made clear that infants and children are not baptized but are dedicated to the Lord. We believe in the Lord's Supper which is to be taken only by believers. (Acts 10:44-48; Lk. 2:22-24; Mk. 10:16; Lk. 22:19-20; Matt. 26:12-29)
The next life:
We believe in the Resurrection of the body and in the eternal bliss of the saved saints in resurrected bodies and in the resurrection of the unsaved to condemnation. (Rom. 2:7; 1 Jn. 1:2; 2:25; Rev. 2:7; Job 9:26)
Tithes and offering:
We believe that the Bible clearly teaches believers to tithe their income (Gross Earnings) unto the Lord. There are also free will offerings made for advancement of the Lord's work. (Lk. 6:38, Gen. 4:20, Mal. 3:10, II Cor. 9:1-9, Heb. 7:1-4).
Divine healing:
We believe that the healing of sicknesses and diseases are provided for God's people in the atonement. Yet the ministry is not opposed to hospital (Medical treatment. (1 Jn.3:18, 1 Kings 13:16, Acts 10:38, Iss. 52:4-5; Matt. 6:17; Mark 16:18; Janes 5:14-15).
Marriage:
We believe that Holy Matrimony is an institution ordained by God for mankind and that it's binding until death. We therefore believe in monogamy only, that is a husband of one wife and it must be made honorable before all. (Matt. 2:14-17, Heb. 13:4; Matt. 5:31-32, Mark 10:4-9, Matt. 19:3-9; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:1-16).
Ministry gifts:
We believe in the operations of the five (5) fold ministries and not necessarily in the hierarchical order.
